Reality [ree-al-i-tee] – noun Unhinged [uhn-hinjd] – adjective
1) The state or quality of what is real or what was once real is disrupted from its normal state.
2) The resemblance of what was once real is unbalanced and thrown into confusion or turmoil.
Reality Unhinged is about a woman’s journey (Grace Whitman) back to civilization in a post-apocalyptic world after a water borne illness killed over 99% of the population, including her husband and two children. Her journey starts alone, her choice to be alone, and her struggles/battles to rejoin whatever society remains.
This book is the first novel I started writing, but I do not believe it will be the first novel that I publish. Reality Unhinged is a project I continue to work and improve with each passing day. I want this story to be a character driven story, not plot driven. I’ve struggled some along the way as the story starts to get away from Grace and the plot takes over. This book is very close to my heart and it will one day become a published book. I will not rush it. I will take my time to get it right. In the meantime, I will occasionally post about the book and its progress. So hop over to the books webpage to check for updates or follow my blog to stay update! #FollowGrace on social media.
